Vision Quest Ceremony
A Transformative Nature Experience: May 8-17, 2025

Since the earliest times, people from all cultures have spent time alone in the wild to seek clarity, find their true purpose, and mark significant life stages, often referred to as Vision Quests or Nature Quests.

These wilderness rites of passage allow us to gain a new perspective on our lives and make us come home to the more-than-human-world. It is within this state of presence – in the stillness, the being-ness, and the embrace of the natural world, that you know what are the next steps on your life journey.

What is truly important to you?
What are you longing for?

This Vision Quest in Norway (96 hours solo) offers a space for you to explore these questions, fasting alone in nature, while having the quest protectors close by you, yet out of sight, day and night.

Do you feel the call?

This Vision Quest will be held in the Stalking-Wolf Tradition/ Lineage under guidance of Quest Protector Susanne Feld and in respect and honour to Grandfather, Stalking Wolf & Tom Brown, Jr.

“The journey gave me a profound sense of trust in myself and my connection to nature. It was an opportunity to explore my personal limits and connect with parts of myself that often remain hidden in everyday life.”

“You must learn one thing.
The world was made to be free in.

Give up all the other worlds
except the one to which you belong.

Sometimes it takes darkness and the sweet
confinement of your aloneness
to learn

anything or anyone
that does not bring you alive

is too small for you.”

The Practicalities & Details

Note: This process does not involve counselling, therapy or coaching by the organisers or quest protectors at any moment. The power of the Vision Quest lies within the communion between the quester and nature – creation.
The quest protectors ensure you are best possible prepared before,- and integrated afterwards. They stand for your safety and protection during the solo wilderness experience part of the quest.

Structure of the Quest Program:

This 9-day program we offer this spring includes four days and four nights immersed in nature on a solo ceremony. This journey will be divided into the three classic phases of a rite of passage:

Preparation
We will prepare on hands, heart and head level.
You will be provided with basic outdoor skills, so that you feel confident in being out safe and protected throughout your Solo Fast.
There will be different exercises that help you to sink into the present moment and get another view upon your life (situation).
We will get to know the Quest area and the group.

Threshold
Each person goes alone into the wilderness. The quest protectors hold the space and stay as a support at the base camp.
You will be fasting and with minimal distractions throughout the 92h of the Quest.
This makes you receptive to tap into a field of presence and receive answers to your question/intention.
You are held by the bigger container that nature offers.

Incorporation
You will be welcomed back by the quest protectors and your fellow questers and have time to land your experience and insights.
Together we will celebrate your initiation into another stage of life.

Questions and Answers on the Details:

Good physical and mental condition is necessary.
You need to be open to sink into yourself and will probably face hardships and challenges on the way.
We ask you to write a motivation letter. More details will be provided during enrollment process.
Be aware that his program will be held without phone and digital time.

You will sleep under a tarp, which we will provide, along with instructions on how to set it up for yourself. You can bring your own sleeping mat or rent a reindeer hide from us to sleep on. We will set up a big tarp for the whole group, where we will gather, cook, and stay dry and comfortable around the fire in case of wind & rain.

“My experience with the Vision Quest by Wilderness Vision is on another level.

In every way, I was taken care of. From the moment of intake to the warm farewell, I felt supported and truly seen. The professionalism knows no bounds when it comes to making things as effortless as possible for the participant and providing the best possible experience. And that’s an understatement.

I would, without hesitation, step into any adventure with complete trust, knowing it’s coordinated by Wilderness Vision.

The quest itself? Magical. Physically, mentally, and spiritually, it was a highlight of this year (and of many years before).

With deep gratitude to host and guardian Manuel.”

Manuel Sturm

Guide in Natural Outdoor Life, Crafts & Leadership

Manuel started Wilderness Vision to give space for people to explore how humans have lived for thousands of years - deeply connected with the more-than-human-world.
When he was in his mid twenties he traveled and sailed around the world and discovered Vision Quest in Australia.
Since then felt the pull to explore how the power of nature holds space for inner processes, provides healing and direction.
Throughout the years he has marked significant stages in his life with a quest.
Providing these spaces for others has felt like the direction his work is naturally growing towards - where he feels most needed and alive.
