WILDERNESS TREKKING
at Jotunheimen Nationalpark
at Jotunheimen Nationalpark
This 7-day Wilderness Trek leads through beautiful and raw mountain landscapes, far off the beaten track. We’ll walk partly off-trail, partly on small paths that take us through forests and up into the mountains, with stunning views on snow-covered peaks and plenty of water around us (lakes, rivers and creeks). This hike is for people that have some hiking experience, knowing that they can walk in uneven terrain and carry all they need for one week on their backs for around 7h a day. We invite you to slow down, spending this week offline and giving space to connect with yourself, the group, and the natural world.
■ TIMELESS ■ OFFLINE ■ COMMUNAL ■ NATURE RESPECTING ■ AUTHENTIC ■ PERSONAL LEADERSHIP

★★★★★
“During our trekking tour through the rugged landscapes of Jotunheimen, I deepened my outdoor skills, learned more about navigation and weather, and about guiding people safely in the wilderness. Fully exposed to the elements, up close with the animals. My most important insight from that week? That I can fully rely on my abilities and strengths. Thank you for this journey.”

Where will we meet and how do I get there?
We will meet at Maurvangen (bus stop), 2683 Tessanden, Norway at 15:00. It takes about 4h from Oslo by car or 4,5-5h by public transport to get there. The meeting point is right next to the campsite Besseggen Fjellcamp, where you can set up your tent, arrive with a camper van, or rent a cabin. It’s also within walking distance to the serviced DNT cabin Gjendesheim, which offers beds and meals right at the entrance to Jotunheimen National Park and the Besseggen hike.
The course will end at 12:00 at Maurvangen.
You will get more detailed information on travel & arrival upon registration.
How will I sleep?
ou will need to bring your own lightweight tent to sleep in. It should be sturdy enough to withstand wind, as it can get quite windy in the mountains above the tree line.
We will provide a group shelter that can be set up in case of rain or wind. This will serve as a shared space where we can gather, cook, eat, and spend time together in the evenings.
If you don’t have a suitable tent, there may be an option to sleep in the group shelter. We also have a limited amount of equipment available for rent. Just get in touch with us.

What will I learn?
We’ll offer input on map and compass navigation, share knowledge about the plants, animals, and signs we come we come across, and invite simple nature connection practices like time at a sit spot or silent walking. These moments will grow naturally out of the rhythm of the journey and the interests of the group.
What about Food?
The first dinner will be shared. For the rest of the week, you’ll need to bring your own food. We’ll provide detailed information on how to plan your meals for the trip, including tips and recipes for making your own trail food. We’ll also set up a WhatsApp group where we can share recommendations and ask questions to the group.

What to Bring & Packing List

Offline & Pictures
This tour will be held offline/ without phones and digital time (we will keep track off time and make sure we reach our goal for the day). Nowadays, the chance to be offline for a week is rare and it is special to spend a week in nature without knowing the time or being reachable. That helps us to slow down, to feel and connect with ourselves, the group and nature and to enjoy the present moment.
We will take pictures and videos and sent them to you after the trip. If you have a passion for photography/ videography let us know – you are welcome to bring your camera.
Course Prerequisites and Requirements
You’ll need to carry your own backpack with all your camping gear and food for the entire week. You should be sure-footed, as parts of the trek have no marked trail, and the paths can be narrow, uneven, rocky, and rarely used. You should be used to hiking with a backpack or have at least done it before.

Itinerary of the Trek
Meet-up at Maurvangen Camping at 15:00. Walking to first camp site.
Off-track through the forest, then on small paths a mountain top, finding our spot for the night in open mountain terrain.

In the morning, we’ll climb to cross a mountain pass with spectacular views of lakes, valleys, and snow-covered peaks.
This day leads us into another valley, before climbing into reindeer territory.
We’ll be moving at around 1300 m.a.s.l., with several river crossings.

Immersing ourselves in wild nature, being part of a small group provides the ideal environment for personal reflection. We encourage participants to develop inner resilience, self-awareness, and leadership qualities that can be applied in all areas of life.
What is our role in the natural world and within the larger ecosystem? How do we understand our place as humans in it? Our journeys invite participants to reflect on these questions. We aim to foster a deep understanding of our responsibilities within nature.
In the wilderness, we are pushed to our limits, often revealing the masks we wear in everyday life. Our journeys encourage participants to embrace this raw authenticity, inspiring them to live more freely and reconnect with their wild, true selves.
True care for nature comes from a genuine sense of connection. By teaching survival and bushcraft skills, we allow participants to engage directly with the natural world, fostering a sense of reliance on and respect for the environment.
In an increasingly connected world, we often feel more disconnected and stressed. Our courses offer a deliberate break from technology, allowing participants to experience a phone-free environment. Through that we create space for deeper presence.
